Maybe, maybe not. A YashicaMat 124-G in Exc condition (or better) could be a
very reliable camera. A new Kiev 88 can be a bit "iffy" right out of the
box. However, a Kiev 88 would be a good training tool for a person that
wanted to move on to a Hasselblad some day. Look for an eBay user with the
ID of kievcamera. His prices are reasonable and he will replace anything
found to be defective upon receipt. He does a lot of Dutch auctions on
eBay.
