David, My experiments with the sharpening of RAW files is just preliminary yet, but one thing I have noticed. Images with high contrast areas (like the example Rob Brigham posted the other day), will benefit from adjusting chromatic aberration first.
Would be interesting to see comparisons of different ways of sharpening, btw. For example RAW sharpening vs. conversion to LAB and channel sharpening.
