All these years (HK, Melbourne & now Vancouver) I have found only one lab 
which is capable of decent 4x6" machine prints (very sharp, contrasty and 
vivid colour). Just that all films developed by them have long deep 
scratches, and often prints came back with dust spots which asked for 
reprints. But I am so tired of keep asking for reprints I just don't go 
there anymore.

Funny thing about that is that in the labs i have worked at, if the
negative came in sharp, the print from it would leave sharp.
Admitedly my career in this industry has only been about 25 years and
perhaps a dozen different labs that I have worked in, so I do have
limited experience.
