a hot pixel overreacts to light and goes to maximum value even under low light conditions, no light if it is a long exposure. a dead pixel shows almost no response at all to any light. a stuck pixel doesn't change its value much no matter what amount of light it receives. you are describing a hot pixel or a stuck one.
