Distortion is low, but visible. Though labeled a 20mmm lens, the Mir-47K checked out at my camera store as a 22mm. I had hoped this would serve me as a 20mm lens. But at 22mm, it's too close to my SMC 20/2.8K to be of much use. It would best be used by someone who can't decide whether to go with a 24 or a 20. I can send you some JPEGs to help you evaluate it. I paid $200 used in 1998; it was going in Australia that year for $350 Australian, Kalimex in Prague was selling it new for $200 and an Italian site sells it new for $260. The lens cannot accept conventional snap-in front caps. It comes with a Zenit press-on cap, but I bought for it a Schneider press-on that fits it more snugly that I will add for $10.
