i am wondering how really important is that low noise iso 1600. after
all, i guess, lots of people here have been happily shooting
provia/velvia/tmax/tech pan/whatever else for years... personally,
i would be happy with noise-free iso 100 and low noise iso 400.
some kind of in image stabilization (which i suppose adds a couple of
stops) would be nice too... increasing the lattitude would be far
mor important for me. as well as the pixel count and color depth,
given the aforementioned noise constraints.

best,
mishka

yes, it is possible to all of the following. the cost might take more than 2
years, but the others within two years. i don't know if they will give lower
noise very high priority though. which will they do? increasing the number
of pixels would be the easiest.

I would like to see a FF DSLR under $2000. Barring that, bumping the
APS-sized sensor to 8 mp would be nice. But what I would like most of
all is lower noise above ISO 200. Is this technically possible?
