I see it on a large poster, with the words, "Come to New Zealand - For Our Beaches", or "New Zealand - Like Australia Without the Drunks" or some such travel slogan on it.

I really like the composition on this one. The fellow running along the beach in the foreground really makes the shot, doesn't it? The slight mist along the shoreline is a nice touch, too.

Since you mention that it's uncropped, maybe just a little bit off the top and bottom wouldn't hurt much, and maybe give it a bit more impact. Not a big deal, just a thought.

The only other minor thing (and again, not a big deal) is that I find the sky just a little washed out. I think a polarizing filter would have helped darked the blue sky a bit, and maybe bring out the clouds for a bit more impact. I'm sure that's something that could be done in Photoshop.

Overall, though, a really strong image. Very well done.

cheers,
frank

Are you lot in the North Hemisphere ready for Summer yet?

I had a play with cropping the top off the image so it ends just above the lower set of clouds. That works very well but I've left the full-frame version here as it looks more "Summery" with the large area of blue sky.

Cheers,

- Dave
