The real fun occurs when you realize that your wide angle lenses aren't wide 
any more. Don't get me wrong the *ist D is a great tool but the 1.5x crop 
factor is less an advantage than an imposition in the end.

I think you are right if wide angle photography is your thing, but if it's 
nature and wildlife it certainly is nice to have the illusion of that extra 
reach.... I know cropping accomplishes the same thing in film-based camera's but 
somehow I think it's different, although I know it really isn't. Weird 
reasoning I know, but it works for me..
