The computer I have and Tanja hs come from the factory with the OS on the C drive and the D drive for recovery function.When first firing up the comp.it gives you the opportunity of burning 10 or so back up disks for recovery.If yu areto partition the HD you probably should do so within the C drive and leave the D Drive alone unless you format the whole thing.
