thanks, Frank. it's just a roof. no eavestrough here. i don't know if you did the math and all, but the sparrow was about 60 feet from me when i took the picture. having an equivalent 2400mm FOV really makes a difference. it's a House Sparrow, imported from Europe more than a century ago and now very widespread in North America. i'm sure it was watching trying to figure out what i was doing.
