LX is weather sealed, too.  With MLU.  And a self timer.  And Cesar has the 
snakesking option...

The LX will always have a more accurate viewfinder than a K1000,
which is renowned for its innacurate finder.
OTOH, the K1000 does offer full shutter speeds without batteries.
