Hi Boris -

Interesting shot, but I can't say that it really works for me.

One the plus side, you have some really nice light here - soft, seeming coming from an interesting angle (looks like it's actually shinning UP from the lower left). There are also some nice graphic elements in the image - the contours of the branches and the way they work to frame the shadow area in center of the image is engaging. You also have captured an interesting anthropomorphic expression in the Lemur on the left, and the repetition of the lemurs' tails along the diagonal is effective. The dynamic of the image is engaging because the repetition along the diagonal intersects the more fluid and contained flow of the wood branches.

That's the plus side.... On the not so plus side: The viewer is really set up to expect something interesting happening in the second lemur, but it's virtually invisible aside from the tail. No comment on what it seems to be doing - my cat does that as well. The rope is a bit of a distraction, and while the interplay of light and shadow is interesting, the shadows look to be a little blocked up.

So, I think you've assembled several strong visual elements, but one or two key pieces have not fallen into place.

P.S. I guess I'd have to mention it explicitly - I want to hear all
