I wondered how long it would take. It was meant to be a comparative statement. By ratio, if it were reduced to 50mm lens then for the same DOF perspective, it would be pretty shallow. But that would go for a 150/2.8 on 35mm as well. Any 150/2.8 lens would have roughly the same 54mm diameter, providing the shallow DOF of the larger aperture opening. f2.8 does not refer to the hole size (which determines DOF) but to the f/l:hole size ratio.
