LOL! Sorry for the confusion guys!

That was a typo on my behalf. Well, kind of a typo and kind of an error in
reading off the file information...

When I checked the EXIF data for that shot, it simply said f5.6 with no
shutter speed recorded, however, I specifically remember setting the flash
manually at 1/32. So anyways, I just assumed that I was shooting in AV,
without looking at the EXIF data properly. However, you guys are totally
correct in what you are saying, and mine too, only allows the use of M
setting on the AF360fgz if I am shooting in manual mode on the camera.
THEREFORE, rather than that shot being captured in AV @f5.6, it must've been
in Manual @ f5.6. I have no idea what I had the shutter speed set at, but
it was under a shaded play area at the school, and judging by the amount of
ambient light, I would say it was probably around 1/60.

Strange that the shutter speed wasn't recorded in the EXIF data though... It
says "Exposure Program: Manual", and it says "Flash: fired. Compulsory
flash firing (1)", but alas no shutter speed information recorded. Anyone
know why this would be?

OH, and Michel, mine does just that too - ie, forces P-TTL or SB modes when
my camera is set on anything other than "M".

tan.

Even in manual mode mine forces P-TTL or SB mode.
