Santorini - one of the most beautiful places on earth.
A thousand years ago the vulcano blew up. BANG! Thet say the it was so loud
that the thunder could be heard here (by the Vikings of Scandinavia). Only
the edges of parts of the cone was left aafter the explosion. After that the
survivers built towns there - at the top of the rim. Some places the towns
are so narrow, that there's only one street, with a view to the sea all the
time. Williams picture shows one of the beautiful views. And they had two
competing religions. They competed by building beautiful churches. So, today
there is a church almost every time the street turns. So, when you walk down
the street, every time you take four steps, you can make 4 beautiful
postcards. That's how beautiul it is. The last time I was there, my PZ-1
gave me trouble and overexposed every shot I made - the only time my PZ-1
didn't work!! So, it's nice that your shot saved the day, William. A
beautiful picture. Did you know that 90% of the Greek postcards are from
Santorini? Mostly the ones with blue church roofs.
All the best.
Jens
