Frank,Cricket cannot be explained in as much as one grows up into it,doesn't
one?There are two types of cricket basically(Of which Australia is World
Champions at both).Test Cricket (White flannelled fools) played over five
days,some times without a clear winner and described by Robin Williams as
watching baseball on Valium ,and one day cricket(Fools in pyjamas)a touch
more exciting with a result,not to mention Sheffield shield(OZ) and county
cricket(UK) which are local comps.and the fervour in which it is played in
India ,Pakistan,West Indies.Check Wisdens for much more detail.
However the game played in Heaven by all the Gods and most Australians in
called Australian Rules Football(AFL).Soccer is a game played by over
emotional Europeans and Pommies(English) who bring their supporters to do
battle off the field.AFL is the only game I can see where passionate
supporters from opposing sides can sit together without murdering or
otherwise maiming each other.There is always next week.
AFL is played the length and breadth of the country unlike Thugby League and
Rugby Union so all Queenslanders and New South Welshmen Zip Thy Lips.The US
and OZ are the only countries that I can see who have developed their own
game(Football) and not slavishly followed this soccer nonsense.LOL
