There were some Mac viruses in the beginning of the 1990:s but somewhere around 1994 all were exterminated and no new appeared. The anti-virus software par preference for Mac at that time, Disinfectant, stopped being updated as well. I have actually seen one Mac virus; in 1993 or 1994 a couple of computers at a school I was attenting got "nVIR B". I saved a copy on diskette, but some weeks later I put the disk into a computer with automatic virus removal turned on, and my pet virus died. Some years later, when Microsoft Word 6.0 was released, there was a flurry of "macro viruses" that targetted MS Word on both Windows and Mac alike. I saw several of those.
