Many supermarkets and other stores now have kiosks where you can scan the print yourself and have it printed on their printer. The attendant may not even look at the print.

At least in the States stores are supposed to have someone verify that the image is legal to copy. We have a PIN necessary to start the Aladdin which we do not give out to customers, thus giving us the chance to check the picture. Even with that and a copyright notice right on the machine in 20 point bold I get torn a new a*****e a couple times a month by customers wanting to copy something professional. Luckily corporate HQ supports copyright, probably out of fear of fines but still support. Now I'm the wrong side of 50, 6 ft., 275 lb., and will stand up to anyone (within reason). I can imagine that the abuse is doubled on the 19 Y.O. that usually staffs 1 hr. labs. Having said that, I agree that too many labs ignore or look the other way on these matters.
