I think my point was really that much of this was mother country slang, rather than specifically Australian slang. Much of it is also found in other parts of the English-speaking world, like Texas and Jamaica, which are two places you and I have in common (if I remember correctly).

A LOT of them are found far from both Britain & Australia, not just in Britain
as you may not have meant to imply.
