Hi Alex,

It's been quite some time since I visited Dublin, but there are
a couple of things I won't miss while there.
First one that comes to mind is the Trinity College, where you
MUST see the Old Library and the Book of Kells. A visit to the
Castle (now more a palace than a castle) may be interesting. A
walk in Saint Stephen's Green is nice, and a good photo
opportunity, although quite a clich, are the different colours
doors of the Georgian houses.
Don't forget Temple Bar, a very crowded district full of pubs.
There should be other things to see, I'm sure...
This said, I think I should return to Dublin sooner or later...
(btw, my surname means exactly Ireland :-)

I recall two shops with a good selection of used Pentax
equipment (while I was there - in 1999 - one had a complete LX
set with motor, AF280T, grip, etc.; another shop showed a black
K2 with K 50/1.4 that I bought). A PDMLer from Dublin told me
that things had changed a bit, but I would attempt a look. One
of the shops was near the end of Grafton street (coming from the
Trinity College, on the right), the other one was in one of the
streets in front of the central Post Office in O'Connel Street
(if I'm right, it's in the street with the statue of James Joyce
at the beginning - Earl Street -); it's on the right if you come
from O'Connel Street.
Hope this helps.

Ciao,

Gianfranco
