I just noticed today that my Lexar "write accelerated" WA card really
is.  I was using a plain old SanDisk 256 MB card and I kept getting the
hourglass.

There is nothing worse than when a stage artist comes right up to you
and poses 
for the camera and you have to "pretend you are shooting" whilst the
buffer 
empties :-(
