I know everything's different down in Oz, but that doesn't look like any grasshopper I've ever seen! <g>
Interesting angle. Nice sharpness. That OOF thing bottom left doesn't bother me at all; in fact, I kind of like it, as it breaks up the monotony of all that green a bit.
In fact, were I to criticize this otherwise very good photo, it would be due to the preponderance of green. It's a little oppressive. I know you photographed what was there, but it would have been nice if the background was another colour, or at least had some other colours in it.
Not that I don't like green... <vbg>
Otherwise (and I fear I may have made this seem like a bigger deal than it is, as I do like it a lot), a wonderful bug piccie. <g>
thanks, frank

One of the fairly common short-horned grasshoppers in the area, in this case sitting on a bit of rhubarb. Experimenting with the refconverter and getting different perspectives (and working close to the ground). The bottom left OOF area is a bit annoying IMO, and it just seems a bit cliched, but otherwise I'm happy with the shot.

Comments, as always, appreciated.
