A Stranger a Day >I definitely don't understand why it would be called "nonsense". The guy has a style, I don't like it. Chopping off the tops of heads does nothing for me - it was done on purpose, not by accident (I assume?) - it was presented as as such, and so at the wishes of the photographer. He had control. I find it irritating, so I don't look. Nothing new in photography, it's all been done before. Placing people on the edges of frame, or just having bits of them, or not quite all of them, or whatever. I would have preferred to see the subjects without heads chopped, in an honest and straightforward manor, yes traditional, but that's me. When I see a portrait like some of those shown, with heads chopped off, or tops of heads cropped, I wonder why, but can't make any sense of why it would have been done, because the only person I can relate to is myself, in that situation. I ask myself, 'Self (for it is me), would you chop off a head?' And I reply, 'No, Self, I would not'. Therefore, it makes no sense to me, and ipso facto it becomes nonesensical to me, and therefore I deem it nonesense.
