To expand on this answer, the camera should be set to "M" on the exposure method dial. With your image framed, push the green button, and the camera will set an exposure based on center weighted metering. Of course you must have firmware version 1.1, and you must set the custom functions to allow firing of the shutter when the aperture is not set to "A."
