Hi Bill,

Nope don't mind at all! The software is called ikonboard.
http://www.ikonboard.com/ And is totally free! If you get a free
membership at the site you can access some tech support documents and find
out how to install ikonboard, but that info is also readily available
through a google search or two. I would suggest NOT paying them to install
it for you, because its rather expensive for what they end up doing, I've
done it twice on my own now and it's really pretty easy once you get used to
it. All you need is a website that can run CGI-scripts (cgi-bin folder).
You can set it up to run using mySQL or just DBM. I use the DBM setting
rather than mySQL because mySQL is overkill for small forums and will
actually run more slowly for a small forum than regular DBM will (unless its
on a really fast server). Of course if the forum gets huge, say 300-500 or
more posts per day, then mySQL is the better option. There are lots of
people using ikonboard out there so there is tons of absolutely free
support. If you have any questions about that you cant find answers too I
may be able to help.

Sean,

If you don't mind my asking, what software are you using for this
forum? I'd love to set up a similar forum or two for my classes .. .
