I guess Smega lenses offer a higher profit ratio? If that's not a conflict nothing is, but hell it's been that way for years in Oz. I read a little self promotion and scare mongering in the article too, I bet they aren't so pleased they offered to match OS prices now. I made them match a the regular web price for a *ist D from a big Japanese retailer and I factored in all reasonable costs (to which they didn't disagree). But they still umm'd arr'd and procrastinated over the final deal, then they tried to make me feel bad by suggesting that it was a special never to be repeated deal and they I shouldn't talk to any other photos or dealers. And all the time I could have bought it from Japan at the same price retail without any great hassle.
