The annual camera collector's club sale/swap meet/auction this past was fascinating.
What surprised me more than anything was the drop in price on even LF equipment.
Omega 45E with Computar 210/5.6 auctioned for just over $200
Korona 8x10 for $75 and 4x5 with Ilex 191mm for $150.
Both even had replacement bellows, and that's not cheap.
Only one enalrger for sale the whole weekend. Other years there have been a
half-dozen available.
Even Leica lenses (for the SLR) went cheap. A nice macro went for only about $400.
I got a 210/5.6 Commercial Komura for $100 and a Yashica-Mat 124 (not G) for $55, with
leather case, and the 2 Korona units.
Little or no Pentax equipment, as always. Some 645 & 6x7/67 equipment, priced high
just in case. Nothing priced for a fire sale. Maybe next year, if it whole thing
contines.
The only really nifty finds I got was some film, frozen since birth. Some Kodak Ektar
25 and Kodachrome 64 in 120 format. I'm looking forward to using those this summer.
