Hi Guys

A friend of mine, a photographer (out of the business)is thinking of
upgrading from the digital rebel he bought. He was thinking of the 8MP canon
(forget the model designation). He spoke to a mutual friend, a photographer
(still in the business) who suggested the Kodak DC 14C instead. a clip from
his e-mail

Snip
when i told him about the canon, he suggested the new kodak where i could
get 14 mp at the same price. i told him i read bad things on the boards
about color etc. he said 1 yes 2 he's always been able to fix it in photo
desk or photoshop, 3 kodak has the best color in their sensors and all
medium format and large format sensors are still kodak, 4 the new released
kodak has resolved most of the color issues out of the box, 5 he thinks
their software and picture profile style library is really the best.

he said based on all the photographers he's talked to and pics kodak is the
best.
he also said he doesn't know why they get the bad rap on the boards as they
continue to upgrade software, support the heck out of their stuff and will
completely upgrade their cameras to the new version who else would or did
that.

My friend is out of the business and will be using the camera for "fine art"
landscapes etc. so speed and buffer size are not important. Anybody have
experience with the new DC14 or have compared it image quality wise to the
1Ds or the Canon 8mp DSLR? any sites or links would be great, I'll pass it
on to him.
