I have decided that if I filter the posters who I generally find have nothing useful to say (I think there are four of them now), and then just bulk delete entire threads when they go off the rail or are not of interest to me, then the volume isn't all that great, and the list is a nice place to take a few minutes and read. What it takes is thoughtfully set filters and a willingness to miss the occassional post from someone who you always read. I have my email program set to nuke all deleted items when the program is closed, and I just don't go in there. William Robb
