Hi, This is not an entirely new problem, tho' it's been a long while since it's come up on the list. There were a few of us that experienced similar problems with ZX-5n and FA28-70/4 and perhaps other lenses. I recall that one as I have that combination, and, at close focussing distances, the camera/lens combo will focus slightly in front of best visual focus. Everything is fine from about 1 meter-infinity, and, as I recall the problem was more pronounced (or easier to detect) at the longer focal lenght. Diopter adjustment was fine as also evidenced by the problem not being manifest at further distances. AF selecter was set to single point (I never use three point). I recall other's had the opposite problem, focusing worse toward infinity. I don't think anyone was able to come up with an explanation.
This was from about 4 years ago, back when Pentax hosted the list, so I doubt that there would be any archives on it. I may have some of the old thread on another computer, not readily accessible at this time. Thanks, William in Utah. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dario Bonazza" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, June 18, 2004 10:53 AM Subject: Re: Tom, I'm wrong!
