I had the Zenitar for a while, then I came across a Takumar 17mm fisheye that I liked better. The Zenitar is a heavy built lens, it is really solid. Mine had a bit of a rattle from the aperture mechanism, but it worked fine. Optically, it was very good. I thought it was very sharp, it had excellent anti flare protection, and almost garish contrast. I would be using it still, very happily, but I could't justify two fisheyes (they come in handy, but they are pretty limited too) and the Takumar has colour rendiditon closer to my other lenses. Pictures from the Zenitar really had zing. > > I want the 180 degree fisheye, not circular and the Zenitar fits the bill > nicely, just concerned about the optical quality and some of the feedback of > the eBay dealers that sell them. This is the seller ID that I bought from: grizzly33bear His feedback is pretty near perfect, and he seems to have repeat buyers. William Robb
