Let me sum up what I _think_ I remember from folks who were kind enough to respond to my cry for help:
Color neg film can be cleaned in about the same way as BW neg film.
Folks suggested PEC (no thanks, too expensive and cannot be purchased locally for me), TriChloroEthylene (nope, toxic and hard to come by), and warm water with or without a tad of diskwashing soap.
I favor the third option. How much soap? A drop per quart or thereabouts? Water no warmer than my hands can stand?
And, would using something like naptha (aka Ligher Fluid) work for the grease that mild detergent won't cut? Should I squeege after treatment? If so, will a bit of squeege-ing make distilled water unnecessary? I also got a BIG bulb blower I could use to make some of the water fly off the film.
Sorry to post this again, but I just irretrievably deleted responses instead of saving them.
