Hi Lon, Yes, the komkon server is retiring. It may find a role as a mirroring site, but not as the main thing. A new home is in the pipelines, but as you noted it's not permanent yet. However, Adelheid and I will make sure that all galleries, both the old ones from Komkon and the temporary ones, will be included in the new home.
Sorry to hear about your decision. Would you mind saying why you don't like the thought of submitting to an interim solution?
