Looks like the aperture is not working correctly.
When set to auto I should open up completely on a K mount body and the view
should be bright.
On manual it closes down to working aperture and at the larger apertures
(smaller numbers) it should get brighter. Check the aperture operation by
moving the aperture actuating lever on the back of the lens - you should be
able to figure out which one it is - it can be moved if the lens is not set
to full aperture.
Or is it a screw mount lens with adapter? Then you must use it in manual.
