Hi, Boris,
First, thanks for looking, and thanks for your comments. I'm always interested to see what you think, and hear what you ask about my photos. <g>
Second, it may not appear to be, but it is actually a "hairless" dog. It's especially noticeable in this photo in the area between Milan's hands. Those wrinkles you see are bare skin. What appears to be "fur" markings on the dog's face are actually the colour of it's skin. It's not short fur, it's skin, brown and white. I think it may have a few very short hairs somewhere on it's body, but it has no fur.
It's owner has to be very careful about bringing it outside in Canadian winters. It has a little doggie jacket and hat and boots (believe it or not) for colder weather, but even then, it can't go out in snow or extreme cold.
Third, I'm around 6 feet (5 foot 10 inches when I slouch, which I usually do). Milan's a tall girl, maybe 5 foot 9 or so. It might have been a cuter shot if I got down to the dog's level. I took a couple of shots, but didn't think of doing that. Something to keep in mind for next time. Thanks for the suggestion.
Let's see, now we're up to fourth, right? Okay, fourth, I don't rule <g>.
Fifth, I have to admit, the bokeh isn't the most pleasing (especially for that lens, which usually produces lovely smooth bokeh). Maybe it's the film? Generally I don't like APX 400 (love APX 100, though). It was on sale, and I was trying it out. Whatever the cause, I don't know that it's double, but I don't much like it (compared to what I've come to expect with the Leica) either.
Thanks again for your comment, Boris!
cheers, frank

Frank, it is quite fine naturally, but what about "hairless"? I see no hairlessness, well almost none <g>...
May I ask you about your height? You see, it seems to me that if you placed your camera on the level of eyes of the doggy it would be, how to put it, cuter...
You rule, undoubtedly...
P.S. Totally aside dish - am I sensing a double lined bokeh here?
