G'day Cotty, Jens, Shel, rg, Tom, Peter, Boris Thanks for the comments - much appreciated.
There was undoubetedly an element of luck in this - I quite liked the way the mist caused a sort of "painted" effect to the right of the island. And the monochrome effect was just what I was looking for. Cotty mentioned cropping out the bush on the right. I see the point but I think the reflections at lower right are important. To me the impact is much reduced if they are missing. Jens mentioned the P50 - I agree. I think it is the best handling of all of the Pentaxes that I've used. The M and MZ series are great cameras but just a bit too small for my liking. Admittedly I don't use the P50 much these days but I drag it out every now and again for old times sake! rg suggested going a bit wider - I could have but there was a an abandoned car just to the left of the island. Sort of ruined the mood! Thanks again Brian +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Brian Walters Western Sydney, Australia ---- Cool Things Happen When Mac Users Meet!
