Lots o very nice shots - and some really great ones as well. Looks like you all had a very nice day to remember. The downside of it all is the hard work after the shots are taken, isn't it :-) I'm still working on shots I took the last week of April! -----Oprindelig meddelelse----- Fra: Ryan Lee [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sendt: 6. juli 2004 14:15 Til: PDML Emne: A small presentation, comments welcome! My first presentation: http://home.iprimus.com.au/heygoose/SCA/index.htm So finally, I got my shots back from the lab and put together a small presentation, as promised. It was a day out with the SCA (Society of Creative Anachronism) Australia http://sca.org.au/, thanks to my friends Simon and Jayne (00960006.jpg). About the SCA- picture Camelot IRL.. Yes, complete with a King and a Queen, Baron, Baroness, Lords, Ladies, peasants etc. Amongst other things, I learnt that Australia, together with New Zealand, forms the Kingdom of Lochac (pronounced lock-ark), and Brisbane is also the Barony of River Haven. Days activities included fights, a feast, court, etc. Apart from the adherence to customs (manner, etiquette, instances of speech even), it was all in good fun, and being immersed in it was a real experience (yes I was in 'garb'). Someone was telling me that for the girls, it was all about the dresses (gosh it was like walking around in a pre-Raphaelite painting), and for the guys it was about getting to kick butt- doesn't that just sound like a perfect formula? Anyway. I spent my time snapping up shot after shot after shot, 3 rolls of (my mistakenly bought, instead of Fuji Press) Superia 1600, 3 rolls of Superia 400, 1 roll of HD2, on a MZ5n with a Sigma EX 28-70 2.8 (sometimes with a SinghRay Gold/Blue Polariser) and an AF360FGZ and a MZ60 with an FA 80-320 4.5 - 5.6 . Two bodies, very good idea :) Got a lot more shots I'd love to share, but I'm still sorting.. Also! Chanced upon an opportunity to be archived! Apparently, a guy was shooting a DVD of the event and he saw my gear and said he could use some of my shots. Might even see some money (hopefully!) That'll be a first for me.. I'd love to have captioned the shots but I rushed to put it up.. Anyway, hope I manage to convey some of the atmosphere- it was quite magical. Cheers, Ryan
