There are a couple of interesting articles on Pentax in the July issues of 'Camera' magazine. In addition the magazine's editorial is all about Pentax' "plans for another SLR Revolution" (we shall see.....). An interesting observation in the editorial relating to future digital SLRs is that "much will be revealed at his year's Photokina ..... but be prepared to be surprised, especially with the pricing" (again, we shall see).
One of the articles is a feature on 50 years of association between Pentax and its Australian distributor C R Kennedy and it's mainly a short history of Pentax over that period. The second article is an interview with Pentax CEO Fumio Urano. He doesn't let much slip other than confirming that Pentax is taking digital seriously and that he believes that "there is still some business to be done in film cameras". He also mentions that Pentax is working on a digital medium format camera based on the 645N. The next 12 months should be interesting.... +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Brian Walters Western Sydney, Australia ---- Introducing Wheel: http://www.spymac.com/wheel
