The sort of stuff I do doesn't lend itself to using a tripod, so I generally only use a monopod with this lens. It weighs around 12lb (5.5kg), before you add a camera. With a camera, battery grip, protective filter and a monopod you'd be looking at around 15lbs (7Kg) to carry around. Add a second body with a flash and the 80-200 and that makes over 20lb of camera equipment.
