William, your comments are right on: "Much of the Bible is, by todays

As a gay American, I have personally experienced the no-stop hatred,
stupidity and anti-gay violence preached by a large segment of the
American "Christian" population. The Bible, which is so historically
inaccurate that it's a joke, has for 2000 years been used to kill and
maim gay people throughout the world. News flash-the Bible was
written by goat herders who thought the world was flat. And Jesus
never said a bad word about gay people....read the book! Sweden is a
great and tolerant nation......and is right in not allowing hate to
hide behind the Bible as a "religious beliefs". They also make great
cars.
If Nazism was a "religion", would their undying hatred of Jews be
allowed and justified as a religious belief? Hell, in the US,
religious bigotry is even given a tax break. Talk about insult to
injury.
But hey, unlike many religious folks in my country, I'll forgive the
hatred of me if they like Pentax cameras. After all, no one's
perfect!

In the West the Left is currently telling us to give up what we
hold to, even within the 4 walls of our meeting facilities.
Specifically, in Sweden a pastor was recently sentenced to 30 days in
jail for simiply reading Bible passages which dealt with a Christian
view of homosexuality.
So much for the lie of tolerance.
Tolerance is disagreeing with something, but keeping your mouth shut.
Showing intolerance and then using religion as an excuse is no longer
acceptable, at least not on the society I live in.
Much of the Bible is, by todays standards, hate literature, and
should be dealt with in those terms.
