Macro as normal

As mentioned, I just obtained a A50 2.8 macro, which I plan to use as my
walking around normal lens.  I used to use an A50 1.7, but I often find
myself wanting that snail or flower close-up.  Does anyone else here do
this, and if so how well has it worked?
