In January, while waiting for the ferry at Fulford Harbour on
Saltspring Island (the scene of a number of my PUG submissions), my
Z1-P brushed against an upright of the railing on a pier, brushing
the cap of my 77mm Ltd lens off -- and plop! into the water far
below.

I've since replaced it, after offering the Pentax gods several
endocrine glands.

Saturday, again waiting for the ferry there (an oft-told story), I
thought to walk out the pier and see if I could spot my long lost
lens cap.

Eureka!

There it was!

And the tide was out.

So, at the low, low cost of muddy shoes, I have it back.

Interestingly, though muddy from several months in the saltchuck, it
was *not* corroded. I think any PDML member would be hard pressed to
distinguish it from the its un-submerged replacement.

Evidently Pentax uses a very spiffy alloy for the Limited bodies...
