I know the only way to tell for sure is to try it but has anyone used the Super A (Program) for macro in the 1:4 to 1:1 range? I love the viewfinder and it does TTL flash but the mirror that sounds like somebody dropped a piano concerns me. (Shouldn't pick on the SA but my "standard" to judge shutter/mirror sound by is the ME Super.) The best choice I have would probably be the *ist with its 2 second mirror prefire but the viewfinder's very poor for MF lenses. Can't really see using AF for macro, especially considering my only AF macro lens is the "cheapie" Tamron 100/3.5.
