OR, at least, maybe any of you who are locals there will stop by the Marriott (the one at 555 Canal) and say hello, flash your Pentax, and see how I'm doing in The National Scrabble Championship.
I'll be staying at the Marriott from Friday July 30 through the following Thursday night Play starts on Sunday morning early and the schedule is grueling - I probably will be hanging out with Scrabblers most of the time but it would be nice to meet some more PDML'ers. I won't be playing Scrabble on Thursday, the 5th as only the top two in Division 1 will be doing that, in front of the cameras for ESPN. It is going to be an amazing event - the largest NOrth American tourney yet and 8 of the 12 players who have already won the thing (and are on my WINNERS calendar) will be there, as well as the current World Champ. I'm going for the geezer prize in my division - little chance of anything grander with the rust that has formed on my game. annsan
