for many photo things, it's a lot more than a few cents difference. it's
frequently 15-20% higher prices. that's assuming that they have anything
that i can look at. the town i live in is amll, yet supports two camera
stores. they are surviving, but not because of photofinishing or camera
sales. they are run by photographers who happen to own a camera store. they
could still make a living without the store. their services can't be
supplied by anyone online or in a big box. they are diversified.
