I just got my E6 back yesterday with several photos of the aurora that was
visible from my house on April 17. I am totally blown away. Gorgeous
colors - bright reds and pale greens with a multitude of stars that almost
seem to twinkle on the transparency.
I will attempt to scan several tonite and post them. I also got some
noctilucent clouds/tree silhouettes after the aurora faded.
Man, I really enjoy night shots.
There is currently a naked eye sunspot group (use only a solar filter)
visible and it is the spawn of the big sunspot group of about two weeks ago
that generated aurora, so the prediction is "There is an increasing
probability of an Earthward-directed coronal mass ejection from active
sunspot Region 9433 (formerly 9393), which is growing gradually in size and
magnetic complexity."
