Hi Frank I like black and white photos telling a story very much. This photo does indeed tell a story but it is not clear for me whether it is a happy or a sad one. The title "he's my pal" does explain your view, but without written explanation it could well be another? Of course, this "you decide" could be a strong point too, you see, your photo makes me think :-) Maybe I would like to see a bit more of the interesting environment like the bar (in better light) or a bit more of the interesting background behind the men (coffee machine, newspaper etc). The photo seems to have some JPG artifacts on the arm of the man with the dog for example, but I know about the 100KB limitations of photo.net :-(
