James,

Could this be the camera you're thinking of?

http://www.butkus.org/chinon/beseler_topcon/beselet_auto100.htm

There were several leaf shutter model Topcons, from my understanding of
information from various websites. But it could also be that only a few
models had many different names in different countries.

The behind or under the mirror meter was definitely a feature of Topcon D
series although I can't confirm that the "Wink" series (as it appeared to be
called for a period in the 1960s) shared that kind of meter.

regards,
Anthony Farr

I think the lens iris was part of the camera body, could have been part of
the shutter (memory fade)
> operation was as follows. shutter leaves closed, mirror moves up, shutter
opens (to F stop?) for set time (up to 1/500th), shutter closes, mirror
moves down, shutter opens again.

due to leaf shutter.

terminal on it?
