Here are a couple of pics that Alan posted: Shows that the small inner part of the clip that pulls toward you. Then the whole thing hinges down. The trick is having a tool that fits in there properly. Lots of things work, I use a dental pick. Small screwdriver or a bent paper clip work too. Just be patient and gentle. The foam is pretty sturdy on newer cameras.
