I think if you wait long enough he might offer it as a BIN for 50 quid as he has been reducing the price at each relist.

I think there is a mint A85/1.4 on ebay at the moment for about $800,
although no doubt it will end higher than that as it still has a few days to
go. Personally I wouldnt pay more that �320 - any more and I would be
looking at a SH MF system.

By the way, has anyone out there got some pictures taken with the A85/1.4
they would care to share with us? For such a well regarded lens there seems
to be a real lack of photos taken with it on the web - or at least that I
can find. It really would be nice to see what it is capable of, having such
a good reputation and all.
